Start with a sound or genre
Search the home page for a term such as piano, jazz or classical. Results come from Wikimedia Commons records rather than a complete commercial music catalogue. Listen to a short preview to confirm that it is the recording you need.
Check both layers of rights
An old composition does not make a new recording free to reuse. Open the source link and read the information about both the recording and the composition, the uploader’s explanation and the exact license version. Do not add a file to your project if the information is missing or inconsistent.
Keep a source record with the file
Save the title, creator, source URL, license name and license link in a text file alongside the downloaded audio. Turkucu results expire after one hour; do not rely on the temporary results screen as your license record.
